Hazardous Household Waste Collection for Croydon Residents in Lebanon

Hazardous Waste Events
The Lebanon Landfill and Recycling Center hosts three Hazardous Waste Collection events each year. These events are developed and sponsored by the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission and the State of New Hampshire, Department of Environmental Services, at four locations each year within the Planning Commission area. Please note that the Lebanon collection events are held at DHMC Lot 27, 52 Labombard Road in Lebanon to better accommodate the large number of participants.

Who can attend?
Household Hazardous Waste events are FREE to residents from Canaan, Claremont, Cornish, Croydon, Enfield, Grantham, Goshen, Hanover, Lebanon, Lempster, Lyme, New London, Newbury, Newport, Orford, Piermont, Plainfield, Springfield, Sunapee, Unity, Washington, and Wilmot. Other residents are welcome for a fee. ANYONE with 20 pounds/ 5 gallons or more and all businesses must pre-register by calling 603-448-1680 two weeks before an event.
Hazardous Materials Accepted Daily
Hazardous Waste Collection events are busy, not only with the number of users but with the amount of material brought to the event, which can result in long wait times. Residents can help reduce wait times at these events by bringing the following items to the Lebanon Landfill whenever the facility is open. The Lebanon Solid Waste Facility accepts several materials on a daily basis such as:
- Anti-freeze
- Batteries
- Fire Extinguishers
- Fluorescent Light Bulbs
- Mercury-containing devices such as Thermostats and Thermometers
- Used Oil
