Town of Croydon Road Posting

The Town of Croydon will be posting on all town roads to heavy loads this Spring. Postings will begin March 1, 2025 until May 12, 2025, depending on the weather.

It will be unlawful for any vehicle exceeding the gross weight of 12,000 pounds/ 6 tons to pass over the following designated and posted town ways. UNLESS SOLIDLY FROZEN. A roadway is considered "solidly frozen" only when the temperature is 32 degrees or below and no water is showing in the cracks of the road (if paved) or there is less than ½" of thaw on the gravel surface (if gravel). To be determined only by the Road Agent, Joseph Beaulieu Jr or his/her designee.

Any vehicle exceeding the weight limit traveling during this period must have written permission from the Highway Supervisor or his/her designee unless other arrangements have been made.
