Town of Croydon Road Posting

The Town of Croydon will be posting on all town roads to heavy loads this Spring.

Winter is nearing its end.  As ambient temperatures may stay cool and chilly, the sun grows higher in the sky each day, giving us a little more sunlight each afternoon.  With the prolonged exposure to sunlight, our dirt roads will become slick in the afternoons. Drive carefully, it’s not our first rodeo. With that stated, ground temperatures change much more slowly than ambient air temperature.  As Road Agent, it is in my official opinion that the Town of Croydon shall post 6-ton weight limits on all town Class V and VI roadways no later than March 1st, 2026. 

Postings will begin March 1, 2026, and continue until May 12, 2026, depending on the weather.

Any vehicle exceeding the weight limit traveling during this period must have written permission from the Road Agent.
