Warrant Articles

  1. To choose one Selectman for three years, one Town Clerk / Tax Collector for three years, and one Trustee of the Trust of Funds and Cemeteries for three years and all such officers and agents that may be necessary for the transaction of the Town business for the ensuing year.
  2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of three hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($325,000) for the repaving of Loverin Hill Road and to authorize the issuance of not more than three hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($325,000) of bonds or notes in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Finance Act (RSA 33) and to authorize the municipal officers to issue and negotiate such bonds or notes and to determine the rate of interest thereon; and further, to raise and appropriate the sum of fifteen thousand five hundred and ninety-seven dollars ($15,597) for the first year’s bond payment.  Recommendation required (3/5 ballot vote required).  Recommended by the Select Board.
  3. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of four hundred seventy-four thousand one hundred fifty-nine dollars ($474,159) for general municipal operations.  This article does not include appropriations contained in special or individual articles addressed separately.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  4. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of twenty-two thousand seven hundred dollars ($22,700) for the yearly payment on the note for the Samuel Morse property purchased by the Town in 2006.  To be paid off in 2026.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  5. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of twelve thousand five hundred dollars ($12,500) for cemetery maintenance and cemetery repairs.  The funds to support this article are to be removed from the interest earned in the Henry J. Sawyer Memorial Fund and the Ruger Memorial Fund.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  6. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) to be added to the Bridges Capital Reserve Fund previously established.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  7. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) to be added to the Town Revaluation Capital Reserve Fund.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  8. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of forty-two thousand two hundred and fifty dollars ($42,250) for the yearly payment on the note for the 2018 Western Star Dump Truck purchased in 2019.  Anticipated pay-off date of July 2022.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  9. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of seven thousand three hundred fifty dollars ($7,350) for the testing of the monitoring wells at the transfer station.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  10. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of sixty-three thousand six hundred dollars ($63,600) to complete repairs on Pine Hill Road.  Work is to include paving topcoat on sections previously repaired.  It is anticipated thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) is to come from the Highway Block Grant with the remaining to come from taxation.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  11. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of one hundred eighty-five thousand one hundred fifty dollars ($185,150) for the purchase of a new 2021 Western Star  Truck, with sixty-three thousand dollars ($63,000) to come from the trade-in value of the Peterbilt, sixty thousand seven hundred thirty-two dollars ($60,732) to come from the Highway Capital Reserve Fund, twenty-two thousand dollars ($22,000) to come from the Town Vehicles and Equipment Capital Reserve Fund, and the balance of thirty-nine thousand four hundred eighteen dollars ($39,418) to come from the unassigned fund balance.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  12. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) for the purchase of a used broom attachment and set of forks attachment for the backhoe with said funds to come from the Town Vehicles and Equipment Capital Reserve Fund established in 2019.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  13. To see if the Town will raise and appropriate the sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) to be added to the Town Vehicles and Equipment Capital Reserve Fund established in 2019.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  14. To see if the Town will vote to adopt the provisions of RSA 72:61 through RSA 72:72 inclusively, which provide for an optional property tax exemption from the property’s assessment value, for property tax purposes, for persons owning real property, which is equipped with solar energy systems, wind-powered energy systems, or wood heating energy systems intended for use at the immediate site.  Such property tax exemption shall be in amount equal to 100% of the assessed value of the qualifying equipment under these statutes.  Recommended by the Select Board.
  15. To transact any other business that may legally come before this Town Meeting.
